Tweed Hub within Seagulls Club

On Thursday March 29, 2018 Lifebridge Australia will be officially out of our Caloola Centre and we’re excited to announce our brand-new Tweed Heads Hub within the Seagulls Club on Gollan Drive, Tweed Heads.

Our Tweed Heads Seagulls Hub will be opening on Tuesday April 3, 2018 with all remaining Caloola based programs transitioning to our new Hub. The opening of our new hub, and in line with recent changes, is to continue promoting community integration, participation and inclusion of people with disability. Our partnership with Seagulls has been purposefully established for this reason.

Seagulls has been an integral part of the Tweed Community for over 40 years and has evolved into a sophisticated and innovative entertainment and recreational centre. Seagulls has a highly respected community support focus and is very proud to be heavily involved in the Tweed Coast community.

The club offers a range of recreational facilities including a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness centre, casual waterfront dining venues, indoor and outdoor lounge areas and an indoor sports centre.

As part of Seagulls legal requirements, all entrants, including Lifebridge customers will be required to sign in or swipe their membership card before entering the venue. To continue encouraging community inclusion Lifebridge has agreed to cover the initial 3-year membership fee for all current customers. Ongoing memberships will need to be covered at customers’ own expense.

All transport runs will be located to and from the Seagulls Club and the Hub will be staffed from 9am to 3pm. Any arrangements outside these hours must be specified in your individual NDIS Plan and confirmed with your Support Coordinator.

If you have any further enquiries about the new Tweed Heads Hub please contact Roachelle Hewitson, Day Program Support Coordinator on 0437 694 549.

People are excited about being in the community and our Murwillumbah Hub is already proving to be a move in the right direction for Lifebridge. The Murwillumbah Community have fallen in love with our art display, which has prompted the sale of several works in the first couple of weeks of opening. A great achievement for our artists and the realisation of long-term goals for many of our artists.
