Explore our range of Health and Wellbeing programs tailored to meet your needs. Good health and wellbeing is vital and these programs are designed for you to have fun and enjoying a fresh positive outlook on life.

Swimming

Swimming builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. It also helps to maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs and provides an all-over body workout as nearly all your muscles are used. Swimming can also lower your blood pressure and control blood sugar. With all these great benefits it makes perfect sense to enrol in one of our swimming programs.

Hip Ideas

H.I.P Ideas is a program that is designed around your needs and the needs of your peers. In H.I.P Idea’s you are the centre of the program. You are encouraged to learn by doing and to leverage the support of your peers. Onsite staff will support you but are there in a supervisory role.

You are encouraged to learn by doing and to leverage the support of your peers. Onsite staff will support you but are there in a supervisory role. You and your peers will lead the program. H.I.P Ideas is designed to increase your independence. To develop communication skills and for you to learn how to interact with your peers.You will also learn how to:

  • share in new experiences
  • negotiate
  • compromise
  • form friendships
  • plan
  • persuade

All within a safe and supportive environment.

Day: Monday – Thursday
Time: 9am – 3pm
Venue: Murwillumbah Hub and various local community venues.

Work Ready

All Sports

Increase your fitness, coordination, self confidence and improve your overall well-being. Participate in a variety of sporting activities such as boxing, swimming, ball sports, bush walks, fishing, bowling and gym.

All ability levels are welcome and participants are encouraged to make suggestions for activities they want to participate in.

Sensory

Awaken your senses with activities to physically stimulate your body and maintain well-being. Indulge in a range of relaxation and sensory techniques such as massage, aromatherapy, meditation, mindfulness, music, visual and beauty therapies. This group will leave you feeling relaxed, pampered and will have a positive affect on your overall well-being.

Music And Dance

One of the benefits of music and dance is that it helps the body and mind work together. It allows for self expression and is great for your physical and mental well being. Find your rhythm as you learn different dance styles in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Let’s Cook

Bring out the Masterchef in you. Learn how to prepare delicious, healthy meals and understand basic food nutrition. Throughout the program you will also learn how to budget your meals accordingly and increase your shopping skills. Discover the delights of cooking and the joy of surprising your friends and family with a beautiful home cooked meal.
