Education & Work Experience

Engage in a variety of courses to further your education. Be supported through your learning and when you’re ready participate in relevant work-experience to help you obtain ongoing employment.

Astronomy

Have you ever felt a sense of awe while looking up into the night sky, filled with millions of stars? Have you ever pondered the nature of the planets, stars, galaxies and the Universe itself? In our Astronomy group you will have the chance to learn about the sun, the moon and our solar system. You will be amazed at just what is out there and you will never look up at the sky the same way again.

Tinker Shed

A shed has long been a part of Australian culture and if you look inside the Tinker Shed you will find participants restoring furniture, up-cycling items found at garage sales and markets or undertaking paid restoration work.Further your woodworking skills, learn about furniture restoration and possibly earn some extra cash

Photography

Professional photographer and videographer, Julie Lowe will teach you how to strive for passion, soul and inspiration in your photography and also the basics of getting to know your camera in manual mode. Learn how to develop a great eye for capturing those special moments to share with your family and friends.

Our Visual Arts Program, which is taught by qualified art tutors, is the perfect place to discover the joys of creative self-expression. Our gallery and artist workshop is located at Shop 1, 131 Murwillumbah Street and you are most welcome to pop in and have a chat with our award winning artists and tutors.

Multi award winner Us the Band were formed in 2006 with the vision to bring people together through the power of music. Celebrating teamwork, friendship and inclusion, the Band’s motto is it’s not about YOU and ME, it’s about US. Always a crowd favourite, Us the Band perform at various local gigs, festivals and events. Applications are open for new members who have a unique musical talent they can contribute to the band. Waitlist applies.
