At this time of the year I often like to review my goals and how I am tracking towards achieving these. It also gives me the chance to reflect on how far I have come and address areas where I may have strayed. I like to encourage everyone to do the same. To make some time to review plans, goals and the progress made.
Regardless of whatever life-stage you are at, or personal circumstances, goal setting and evaluation is important. It helps us to make the most out of each opportunity. But we can only achieve our goals if they are properly set.
Famous author, motivational speaker and trainer, Zig Ziglar once said, “a goal properly set, is halfway reached”.
What he means by this is, to think about your life and where you are at presently, and where you would like to be. To think about what you would like to achieve and what you would like to do. He encourages grand aspirations. He asks, what motivates you, what inspires you? None of which are easy to answer. And he encourages you to write it down, to make it tangible, something you can refer back to and keep a track of. This way it is a reminder, a motivator to keep achieving, to keep making progress, to keep taking steps in the right direction.
I would like to encourage all our readers to embrace this. To reflect and to let us know if your goals have changed or if there are additional things you would like to achieve. We’re a part of your journey and we want to support you in making your aspirations come true.
